News Release May 2008

Grand Tour of Europe

We invite you to join us on this trip of a lifetime. We will travel through some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe as we cruise, rail and bus through centuries old cities. We will learn the history of how some of theses countries were ruled by kings and queens. We will explore century's old castles, cathedrals & museums as we come face to face with some of the world's most precious crowned jewels, sculptors, and paintings by world renowned artists.

As we travel we will enjoy 4 and 5 star hotel accommodations. We will dine on food that will satisfy any tastes and relax on a luxury tour bus, a fast train and scenic boat cruise.

On the day of the Passion play in the beautiful Bavarian town of Oberammergau, Germany we will watch as 2000 residents of this little village keep their promise to God, made in 1633, that if He spared their village from the bubonic plague, they would perform a play based on the life of Jesus. The promise was kept and since 1634 the residents dramatize the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus once every 10 years.

The play was first performed on Pentecost in 1634, on a stage which was built at the cemetery and constructed over the fresh graves of the Black Death victims.

The play has attracted audiences from around the world since the late 19th century and is predicted to be viewed by approximately half a million people in 2010.

We will have a completed itinerary with exact dates, length of tour (somewhere around 10 to 12 days) and price, later this summer. As soon as we have all the completed information, we will have it in the Newsletter and on the website.

So start planning now to join us in 2010.
