Greece And The Greek Islands Travelcade
We have had several couples notify us they are interested in joining us on our next overseas travelcade to Greece and the Greek Islands in May 2009. Hopefully you have read our two previous articles that explain the events and areas we will visit. If not, check the Fleetwood Travelcade Club web site and look under Travelcades or let us know if you would like for us to send you a hard copy of the articles.
As we mentioned, the exact dates and prices for 2009 will not be available until November or December of 2008, but we do have all the information for their 2008 trips, so we will share that information with you now. We are again using Vantage Deluxe World Travel, as they have given us such superior trips in the past. The 2008 15 day trip begins with a cost of $3799, which includes free air fare from many east coast cities. The actual cost of your trip will be determined by the cabin you select for the seven nights we are aboard our sailing ship. All cabins are on the outside of the ship. The standard cabin on the lower deck is priced at $3799, for the entire trip. This cabin has a porthole and the room is approximately 130 sq. ft. There are only four of these rooms available. The next class is also on the lower deck with a window and is priced at $4099 and there are only eight of these rooms available. Should you select the middle deck, outside room with a window, the price is $4399. The entire ship only has 25 cabins, so the lower priced cabins will go fast. Thus you MUST book your trip as soon as the 2009 prices become available, or you may not be able to get the cabin of your choice. The ship is 170 feet long, has a crew and staff of 17 with a 48 passenger maximum. We probably will be in our cabins only to sleep, as there will be lots of activities going on while we are cruising the tranquil, smooth Aegean Sea. We will have daily ports of call to tour all the wonderfully, interesting Greek Islands, and Ephesus (Kusadasi) Turkey. We have selected a date in May as the weather should be in the mid 70s at that time.
This 15 day trip begins with a week of touring in Greece, and is then followed by the seven night island cruise. Our final night is back in Athens, Greece; or you can elect to extend your stay with us and fly to Crete for 4 additional days of touring. The cost for this extension is $799 per person. There are cabins on the ship for singles, so if that is your choice, it is available. Phone us for quotes.
As you can tell, we are really excited about this upcoming travelcade, but space is VERY limited and the cabins will be booked quickly. Please let us know if you even think you may be interested, so we can let you know as soon as we are informed about the 2009 dates and prices. Typically the prices go up each year, but they are minimal increases. Don't snooze and lose your spot on this wonderful adventure.
