October 2008 Rendezvous
YES ... IT IS FIESTA TIME IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
OK, we all did the highly successful Winter Rendezvous in Columbia, MO!! NOW let’s take a peek at our 2008 Fall Rendezvous in San Antonio, TX.
We have two super tours lined up:
First is a tour of the historically exciting Ft. Sam Houston Army Base, and hopefully the Brook Army Medical Center.
Second a tour of San Antonio, this includes visiting The Alamo, the Mexican Market, the Rivercenter Mall plus more.
As far as fun, food, and fellowship is concerned, you’ll never have it as good as in San Antonio, Texas.
All will want to attend one of our seminars, namely, “How to Prevent Aging” by Laura English, daughter of the McNaney’s.
Lest we forget, on Friday, we have a Golf Tournament and a Bicycle tour. There will be four nights of entertainment, plus a “must see” Sunday Morning Gospel performance by Keith Longbotham.
Those preferring a Motel can stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites at Braunig Lake (On RV Campground & less than one block from our meeting Hall). Make your reservations early by calling (210) 633-1833.
The name & address of our Campground is “Braunig Lake RV Resort”, 13550 Donop Ranch Road, Elmendorf, TX 78112 (within S.A. City Limits).
Directions: From downtown S.A. drive South on I37 to exit 130, turn left under I37, then left to the Comfort Inn, or continue on to Donop Ranch Road.
In downtown San Antonio, a visit atop The Tower of Americas at near sundown can stimulate an air of romance.
Rest assured, should you prefer to stay home and save all that “Rendezvous money”, your offspring will really enjoy finding a way to spend your “saved money”.
